7 STEP APPROACH
Your overall wellbeing is a complex combination of physical, emotional and social factors that reflects how you feel about yourself and your life.
My 7 step approach to coaching is designed to move you towards a more contented, positive and balanced version of yourself, as well as giving you the awareness, tools and strategies to continually manage your wellbeing outside of the coaching relationship.
1.
Is Coaching Right For You?
It is important to determine at the outset whether coaching is appropriate to meet your needs and whether I am the right coach for you. If I do not believe that coaching is right for your situation or if you require coaching in a specific area that I am not proficient in, I will always suggest alternatives for you to consider.
2.
Understanding Your Priorities
Together we will explore what areas of your life are most important to you and which of those areas are working well and which require some attention. We will develop these priority areas into appropriate and manageable goals that will enhance your overall state of wellbeing.
3.
Taking Stock
We will consider the strengths and resources you already have at your disposal to achieve your goals as well as working out how to deal with some of the challenges and obstacles that may arise along the way.
4.
Weighing Up The Options
The next step is to identify a range of options and alternatives that will move you from where you are now to where you want to be and for you to choose the direction that suits you best.
5.
Planning For Action
Setting an action plan made up of specific, manageable steps with clear timescales will help you to commit to making the changes that will move you closer to your wellbeing goals.
6.
Reviewing Your Progress
The coaching process is more than goals and action plans; it is about growth. When we consider your progress we will take the opportunity to reflect on what has worked well for you and what lessons have been learned along the way. As tennis icon Arthur Ashe said “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome”.
7.
Celebrating Your Success
As you work towards your wellbeing goals it is important that we acknowledge your achievements and recognize your personal growth and development
Throughout this approach we will employ a variety of models, tools and exercises that will provide you with insight, direction and strategies that you can apply in a range of situations.
